Nika Demo

I had a great time at the NYC Demo Meetup last night demoing Nika, hanging out, and seeing all the other games. Thanks to everyone who came out! (I didn’t take any pictures myself, but if you took any I’ll happily post them up.)

I’ll likely have news about a publishing contract very soon, so if you liked what you saw, check back every so often to see what’s happening.

You can check out Meg Stivison’s writeup of the event for Geek Magazine.

Nika wins the Ion Award!

Hey everyone,

I’m very pleased to report that Nika has won SaltCON’s Ion Award in the Strategy category! I had a wonderful weekend teaching the game to convention-goers, who were very complimentary, and I’d like to extend a big thank you to the award judges and convention organizers.

Since the judges liked what they saw, there is likely a publishing contract and/or an app in the works. I don’t have anything concrete right now, but I should have more news within a few weeks.

Also, as a reminder, I’m demoing Nika at the NYC Gaming Meetup next Tuesday. Be there!

Nika at SaltCON and the NYC Gaming Meetup

Hey all, big things are happening in the world of Nika. I’m presenting it for the Ion Award at SaltCON on Friday in Salt Lake City, and at the February NYC Gaming Meetup (where you can also hear the always-entertaining Jon Stokes’ retrospective on the ever-delightful Whiskers). Is a contract on the horizon? Stay tuned!
